33. The contact form of ESLO lock nuts and bolts is different from that of ordinary nuts. Will it damage the thread form of the bolts? If the ESLO lock nut is removed, can it be replaced with a normal nut?

The ESLO lock nut and bolt are loosened after tightening, and the tip of the bolt is slightly deformed. This is due to the special 30 degree wedge thread.

It should be no problem to screw the bolts on deformed tooth tips with ordinary nuts. However, we do not recommend such applications.
